Callan walked down the street, kicking a large rock as he went, sure not to lose it, if he did, then he would have nothing more to do. His hands were deeply shoved into his pockets and his eyes were focused upon the gray rock on the ground in which his sneaker kept striking.

He looked up, sighing. The day was new and the sky was overcast. Few raindrops fell, they fell in small drops, gently from the sky, but Callan didn't mind. He looked up, letting them flood his face and eyes and smiled towards the sun which was hiding somewhere behind the murky clouds above.

Callan fixed his neck and looked straight ahead, not wanting to look back, you're actually never supposed to do that. He walked over to a bench that was sitting outside of a shop, across the small gravel road from it. There was a tall street-lamp beside the wooden bench, and a magical candle was sitting inside of it, brighter than the day.

He seated himself on this forlorn bench and sighed. Callan turned sideways, so that his body and bench would be parallel if he were to lay down. He pulled his knees to his chest, and wrapped his arms around his shins, laying his head in his knees.

Callan's jacket hood was pulled securely over his head to shelter he beloved hair from the rain. Callan watched the rain fall in the light from the lamp. He often had many questions, and they always turned out to be unanswered, how was that fair? He didn't know, but decided that a short nap may sound good.

When you put a dark, murky day, rain, and a tired boy together, then you have a good outcome. He closed his eyes, they stung slightly because it felt as if he hadn't slept in ages. He let them rest, and finally the sensation left, leaving him with pure silence as he started to drift away.

Tarragon felt the first drops of rain hit his skin like cool lips, kissing him tentively. He raised his eyes to the sky, and it was as if that simple movement was an indication for the heavens to open wide. The tentative drops from before fell heavy, bulbous splats of water that fell into his dark hair and landed on his skin - trailing wet streaks down his neck and marking his clothing.

Tarragon was hardly dressed for a rainstorm in a light t-shirt, jeans & converse. His jeans were already below his waist, allowing few a glimpse of his brightly coloured boxers...the rain would make his jeans heavier and there was no telling what else they would get a glimpse of.

He broke into a world-weary jog, bowing his head against the driving rain and hissing through his teeth and he felt the dampness seeping through his clothes. He lifted his head for a moment, casting his gaze around desperately for some shelter, blinking rapidly to try and clear the coursing rain from his face.

There, highlighted by a brilliantly glowing lamp was a shop. He hoped that this rain was temporary because it didnt look to be the type of shop one wanted to stand outside. But, as there was the issue of his damp clothes and even damper hair, Tarragon didnt really have a choice but to wait until the clouds passed over. If they ever did.

Reaching cover, and sighing in relief as the steady wet pattering left his skin, Tug bent over and gripped his knees for support. For some odd reason, and one he would never know, Tug looked up - feeling distinctly un-alone. His bright gaze fell on a huddled shape, hooded and hugging its knees on a bench. It appeared to be a boy, a student perhaps? Tug couldnt be sure. But what were they doing out in this weather? Anyone could see that the sop awning offered more shelter than any other choice of place.

Now, Tarragon would never be one to offer something outright - but just incase it was someone he knew, he called out. Perhaps if they saw where he stood, they would think to come out of the rain....who knew what one could catch by just sitting in it.

"Oi...."

He said, raising his voice slightly and allowing the slightest hint of a mocking smile to curl the corner of his mouth.

"You wet?"

Callan's eyes jolted open as the rain started to pour harder and much quicker. He looked up at the sky with one eye open, the other nestled on his knee, and saw that it had gotten much darker than before. He blinked a few times, trying to wake himself, when he heard a voice.

Callan turned his head quickly, and looked over at the direction of the voice, the rain continued to pour hard, and it was slightly hard to see. He heard the voice of a boy, clearly, and nodded at his question.

"Just a little bit," he said, he uncurled himself and stretched out his legs on the ground, them getting drenched now as well. He ran over to where the boy was and smiled at him, shaking the hood off of his head, and letting occasional lost waterdrops splash against his hair.

"I'm Callan," he said, holding out a hand.

Tarragon eyed him for a moment, before reaching out and taking his hand in a friendly shake. His mouth smiled and he nodded in greeting.

"Tug..."

He murmured, introducing himself. He flicked his gaze out across the street, dropping Callan's hand as he did so. He didnt recognise Callan, but then again - who would in this weather? Noone looked like their normal dry, perfected self.

"You do this much?"

He gestured at the bench where a small dry patch reminded them both of where he had been previously curled. It seemed a little odd to be sitting out in the rain. But each to their own.

"Occasionally, It wasn't this bad when I sat down there," he said, "I just couldn't find anyone around to talk to, so I decided that I'd visit here."

Callan stretched, letting his muscles stretch, and hoping that he'd feel better. The weather seemed to always make his muscles cramp up, and it hurt, a lot. He 'popped' his neck and looked back to Blaine, thinking that maybe he was being kind of rude.

"Uhm, so what're you doing out here in this weather?" Callan asked, shoving his hands into his pockets, and rocking back and forth lightly on his heels.

Tarragon nodded in an understanding fashion, though the understanding didnt quite reach his eyes. Why would you want to visit the street in the rain? He could understand perhaps a graveyard, or something else...but...he shook his head slightly, a barely noticeable gesture. He needed to stop thinking for others. He was sure Callan had a perfectly good reason for wanting to be here, and after all - who was he to decide what pthers did with their time.

He tried for a friendly smile, though it shook a little, the expression still not reaching his eyes which remained flat. They had been that way for some time now...since Jaden had moved in. Tarragon flinched slightly as Callan popped his neck, though it brought him hurtling back out of the pit of misery he had been teetering on the edge of. He tried for a smile again, feeling it come easier to his features once he had pushed back the black thoughts.

"Actually, I'm not a rain person...so you wouldnt usually catch me out in weather even remotely like this."

He said, his clipped english accent making his words blunt and short.

"I got caught...shopping, or trying to."

He added, pulling a face as he moved and feeling the damp clothes sticking to his skin. Tug was like a cat - he despised being wet in any form.

Callan nodded. Strike one. There was one thing that they didn't have in common. How good to find it out sooner, maybe he could free Blaine of this dislike. He turned to him and let a smile caress his face. He wasn't one to judge others. If Blaine didn't like the rain, then so be it. It was his business anyways.

He scratched his forehead, "That's too bad," he said, "So, what were you shopping for?" he asked.

Callan felt that he was interrogating Blaine more than he was trying to have an actual conversation with him. He bit his lip apologetically, and smiled softly.

Tarragon watched Callan carefully, studying his expression - though in a none intruding manner. Tug was a watcher, not really a talker - unless he had to be. He decided that Callan must like the rain, from his previous comment - though from first looks he wouldnt have guessed that, seeing the time the other young man took over his hairstyle.

On that thought, Tug ran a hand through his own hair, suddenly considering how the rain might have affected it. He hated to admit that he spent time on his hair - but he did like to wear the I-didnt-try-so-hard look well. And that took time. He shot Callan a look at his shopping question, but forced himself to relax. He lifted his shoulders in another devil-may-care shrug complete with matching smile.

"Clothes...what else?!"

He grinned, fingering his sodden t-shirt and staring at the smatterings of darker black on his jeans. He hadnt expected it to rain so soon...though perhaps he'd spent longer in that shop than he realised.

"So you was visiting the street then..."

Tarragon brought the topic back to Callan, his voice hinting slightly at his skepticism of the young man's hobby. He mentally kicked himself for it, but couldnt take it back now.

[does blaine like hate callan?]

Callan scratched at the side of his head as Blaine spoke. He bit down on his lip, thinking that this guy may be judging him simply because he'd been sitting out in the rain. He tried to shrug it off, but the feeling kept nagging at him.. like it was pulling at the back of his hood, and choking him, nearly.

He started to speak, but was stopped by his own mind. Then decided to say something different, so it would be worded correctly, and not really taken as a rude comment.

"Well, I was going to shop, but I decided to just sit down, and it wasn't really raining hard or anything, it was a light drizzle, but I dozed off, and when I woke up I was drenched," he said, pulling at the jeans that stuck to his legs. They always stuck to his legs, the rain didn't really affect his clothing- they were always tight, and stuck to his body.

[[nah mate...just didnt know where our charries where so was playin it safe - so we could go either way until it was sorted. S'all gravy now.]]

Tarragon paused, eyeing Callan for a moment as he processed the explanation. He didnt detect any sarcasm or lies laced into the other boys voice, and he bit his mouth thoughtfully. The expression was fleeting, momentarily crumpling his face before he broke out into a genuine smile, eyes dancing. He was satisfied with first impressions, and therefore would let his guard down.

"Shopping...it's a killer."

He mused, joking lightly and refering to their present situation, which seemed to have been brought about by attempting to shop.

"So Callan, besides shopping and sleeping in the rain, what grabs your interest?"

Tug said with a bright crooked smile, his eyes sliding across to watch two girls running down the street, their arms drawn up around a coat which they both tried to use to shelter their hair. He watched them until they disappeared round the corner, then glanced back at Callan, his smile widening. One of his hobbies was evident.

Callan stood on his heels, and rocked slightly. He shoved his hands into his pockets and eyed Blaine, who was watching something going on in the street. Callan nibbled on his bottom lip for a few seconds, thinking of an accurate answer.

"I guess I'm into arts. Pretty much every type," he said, nodding slightly, "Except ballet," he said, a smile appearing on his face and turning into a small laugh.

He looked down the street to see the girls disappear, "How about you, man? What kind of stuff are you into?" he asked. He wondered if Blaine was the artsy type like himself, but wasn't so sure.

Tarragon grinned at Callan' remark on ballet, not wanting to imagine either of them in a pink leotard...it would ruin a potential friendship carrying images like that around in your head.

He shrugged slightly, not really sure what he was into. He enjoyed art, and found it to relax his usual tense persona. Perhaps this was the common ground that both had been lookin for to strike up a friendship.

"Yeh...I like art. I'm only a sketcher though...give me a paintbrush and I'm useless. What about you? My dad owns a stables...so I'm into Racing. I get on good with animals...better than people."

His voice trailed off as he flicked his gaze worriedly to Callan's face, trying to make out what the other thought. He hurriedly moved on.

"And, I have to admit I'm a sucker for the ladies...big brown eyes do it for me everytime."

He sighed, smiling wryly.
