Literacy: No, we're not asking for page-long prose or extreme literacy from you. We're also not going to let every other post be a sentence long. So please, find a comfortable niche in between the two. This includes posts absent of chatspeak; if you write English papers without it, you can manage it on the boards.

Character Amount: Sorry, but in order for the mods to keep track of the characters, we're only allowing one character per account. Granted, feel free to make as many accounts as you'd like, just let the mods know which accounts belong to which person.

Character Descriptions: Nobody's perfect. Please keep that in mind when coming up with your character, because no one likes to feel inferior. So when applying, try to give your character some depth and dimension, because if you don't mention both flaws and strengths, you get a boring, flat character.

Note: There are no students under age eleven allowed to attend Oxden Academy, special case or not. Tradition at Oxden Academy has always been that students are invited at eleven, special powers or no. Your character is not an exception to the rule. We apologize.

Also, characters must stay true to their house characteristics. You won't find Gryffindor-friendly Slytherins or vice versa, so if your character is in one of those houses, don't act especially friendly toward each other. If there ends up being too many Slytherins or Gryffindors, we will read the character entry and decide which house to put your character in. It isn't fair for one house to have more students than the other.

Applying: You cannot start roleplaying until your character is accepted by one or both of the mods, period. To apply, copy and paste the character form into the Character Applications board and fill it out accordingly. Post Felix Felicis at the end of your application to prove you've read these rules.

Note: This board is a PG-13 rated board-so please try to keep it that way! [We know that everyone has occasional 'love' or 'romance' threads, and thats okay, just don't have too many of them out there per character or we may have to delete them.]

Off-Topic: Fighting is catty, so we don't want any of it on the OOC boards. If you have a problem with one of the members, please tell the Mods.

Before We Forget: You must have a username for EACH character.

Character's now do not have to be accepted, they can all automatically start roleplaying as soon as put in a house--> if we see them doing poorly, then they will get a warning.
